What a let down. Here conservative Republicans were so close to respectability and even acceptance in polite society. In Prince William County, VA where I live, conservatives convinced themselves we’d come far from that time in the recent past when the WaPost described evangelicals (essentially another word for conservative Republicans, since there is considerable overlap among the two demographic groups) as “poor, undereducated and easily led.”

Put these guys on Comedy Central. Put ‘em in an asylum … a mandatory restitution program … jail perhaps … or a witness protection program, if they turn state’s evidence on other perpetrators. But keep them away from our money – and our energy, economic, healthcare and education policies.

Organize an after work party at Richmond’s ‘Club Hush.’ Attach a rainbow balloon to the sneeze guard that protects the arugula. A nation still in extreme pain because of September 11
“The family members are happy to see so many Americans recognize the insensitivity of the Ground Zero Mosque being built — yet are angry at politicians like Mayor Bloomberg for supporting it. Joe Holland, who lost a son at the World Trade Center, stated that the Mosque is in ‘the wrong spot and people like Bloomberg do not have the families’ back. This should be considered sacred soil.

This brings up another interesting point about how the Obama administration perceives the human person. It has become painfully clear that, when it comes to teaching young people how to develop self-respect and save sex until marriage, the administration wants no part of it. Recent headlines tell that story too.

The above headline, about black shooter Omar Thornton’s August 3 mass murder of eight whites and wounding of two others before killing himself in Manchester, Connecticut, is both completely false and completely true; completely false.
Are We Wising up to Islam?
Many left wingers are slick in their use of loaded expressions. “America’s democratic values” is heavily laden with all things bright and beautiful. The use of that expression lays the foundation for accusing Islam’s opponents of racism, bigotry & xenophobia. They are off to a fast start, ahead of the starter’s pistol, mis-framing the debate.
