The shooting of Arizona representative Gabrielle Giffords is tragic. Too bad there isn’t as much outrage over illegal aliens murdering, raping, and looting the average citizens of that state. Perhaps the Speaker of the House ought to make a statement that an attack on any run of the mill American is an attack on all Americans, not just when these horrors befall the ruling elites.

In case you have not noticed… Americans are arming themselves. Sales of those rifles the liberals like to refer to as “assault rifles” are so brisk, nationwide, that they are back-ordered for weeks and, in some cases, even months. Absent the ability to read minds and hearts, I can’t really tell you if Barack Obama is uniquely dishonest. What is for certain, though, is that his campaign is uniquely deceitful. These two things are not synonymous. Politicians are famous for suppressing facts and manufacturing fantasies to hide their faults, and, while Obama certainly practices this sleight-of-hand, I can’t say he is more inured to it that your average prevaricating pol. But what is doubtless is that he has more faults to hide.
Playing God with “Endangered” Species
In mid-August Barack Obama had this to say about a White House decision regarding the Endangered Species Act: “After over 30 years of successfully protecting our nation’s most endangered wildlife like the bald eagle, we should be looking for ways to improve it, not weaken it.”
